The blessed month of Ramadan is literally around the corner!
Every year, Ramadan ‘reminds’ us of our obligations towards God Almighty. This obligation revolves around His message in the form of the Qur’an. The reason God has the month of Ramadan for fasting is because it is when He chose to reveal His ‘expectations’ to us. This is the importance God attaches to the Qur’an.
God declares His Qur’an as guidance and the ‘Furqan’ that differentiates clearly in matters of morality and, evil and goodness.
Qur’an (2:185): “It is the month of Ramaḍan in which the Qur’ān was revealed, as a book replete with guidance for mankind and in the form of extremely manifest arguments which [by their nature] are guidance and also a means of distinguishing right from wrong.”
God also declares His Qur’an as a ‘reminder’ to remain mindful of our obligations towards Him.
Qur’an (76:29 ): “These revelations are only a reminder. So, whoever desires, he should take the path leading to his Lord.”
