Syed Manzoor Ul Hassan

Syed Manzoorul Hasan was born on April 20, 1965 in Bahawalnagar, a city in South Punjab (Pakistan). Father Syed Muhammad Hasan Shah Tirmidhi was the priest of the local monastery of the Qadiriya order of Sufism. Passed Matriculation from Government City High School Bahawalnagar and BA from Government College Bahawalnagar. Later he obtained MA in Political Science from Punjab University Lahore and MA in Islamic Studies from Islamia University Bahawalpur. He also completed his M.Phil from the Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies of GC University, Lahore. He received the basic education of literature, science and Islam from the learned scholar and high-ranking teacher of his city, Muhammad Nazr Sahib. His grace led to the access to the educational institution of Jalil-ul-Qadr scholar and researcher of Imam Al-Asr Mr. Javed Ahmad Ghamdi of Madrasah Farahi. The chain of Sharaf-i Talmiz from him has been established since 1990. Among the teachers from whom I learned science and art during my student days, the most prominent name is Dr. Khurshid Rizvi, a genius of Urdu and Arabic language and literature. Apart from them, Dr. Syed Sultan Shah, Mr. Muhammad Rafi Mufti, Prof. Khurshid Alam and Prof. Muhammad Zafar Adil also got the opportunity to gain merit. Participate in projects. He is also performing the duties of the editor of the monthly “Ishraq” Lahore.

Muhammad Hassan Ilyas

Muhammad Hassan Ilyas is a young passionate theologian, researcher and expert in ancient Arabic language and literature, greatly inspired by the famous Islamic scholar Javed Ahmed Ghamidi. He is a close associate of Javed Ahmed Ghamidi and is part of his ground breaking research project on the historical record of the sayings of the Prophet of Islam, Muhammad (P.B.U.H), with an aim to rid the prevailing Islamic ideology of common misconceptions in order to counter religious extremism.

He is a young, passionate researcher and educationist. He has been actively engaged in initiatives for educational reform since his formative years with an NGO Organisation for Research and Education (2009-2012). Later, in his early adulthood he went on to deliver special lectures on ancient Arabic language and literature to PhD and Master students of International Islamic University, Islamabad (2011-2012).

He was the research head of the research department of Al-Mawrid Global, an Institute for Islamic Research and Education (2014-2018). More than a dozen PhD and Masters students working on theology have worked under his guidance during their dissertation. He was also a pioneer teacher and curriculum developer for Al-Mawrid’s education program for children and adolescents in the United States.

 

He completed his bachelors at Medina International Islamic University, Malaysia, and is currently enrolled in University Technology Mara, Shah Alam in Masters of Research working on his groundbreaking project on Oaths as a literary device in the Qur’an. Alongside, he is working as a personal research and literary assistant of Javed Ahmed Ghamidi representing his works in academic circles and engaging in public meets to propagate and educate the public on his views.

He is invited all over the world for lectures on theology, jurisprudence and his expertise on Ghamidi school of thought. He has been making television appearances in programs on social and legal implications of the prevailing Islamic thought in Islam. His works are frequently cited in academic papers and has been interviewed by many PhD scholars for his expertise in theology and particularly in Ghamidi school of thought.

At this young age he has achieved many accolades including a gold medal at an international academic conference for his model research work on Oaths as a literary device in the Qur’an, and several awards for his academic articles and public speaking achievements from Medina International University, Malaysia.

In future, he plans to further his research work on theology, and ancient Arabic language and literature, he plans to set up an institute for reform in religious education and advanced learning in Ghamidi school of thought. He further wants to design ventures for massive outreach of Ghamidi school of thought to masses with an aim for reconstruction of religious thought of the common Muslims

Dr. Shehzad Saleem

Dr Shehzad Saleem is an Islamic researcher and holds a Ph.D. in the History of the Quran from the University of Wales, UK. He studied religion under the tutelage of Javed Ahmad Ghamidi and is currently a Research Fellow of Al-Mawrid. Dr Shehzad Saleem has authored books on Islam, Quran, Hadith and Character Building. He has also translated some works of famous Islamic scholars and exegetes like Amin Ahsan Islahi and Javed Ahmad Ghamidi into English.
He has also compiled a modular textbook on Qur’anic Studies, which was taught by him to graduate students (1999-2001). The textbook is available in course format at www.studying-islam.org. It comprises course topics as: Revelation of the Qur’an, Theme of the Qur’an, History of the Qur’an, Arrangement of the Qur’an, Language of the Qur’an, Interpreting the Qur’an.He has translated some works of Amin Ahsan Islahi (d. 1997) and Javed Ahmad Ghamidi into English.

Dr Shehzad Saleem recently (2018) completed an eighteen year research work on the History of the Quran, a part of which constituted his doctoral thesis (the thesis portion is available Here).The work addresses some nagging questions related to the revelation, collection and transmission of the Quran. These questions include narratives found in our legacy on the alleged incompleteness of the Quran, scribal errors found in it, its variant readings, chronology of its compilation, order of the surahs, and manuscript studies.

Dr. Khalid Zaheer

Dr. Khalid Zaheer is an Islamic scholar and a speaker, writer, and educator. He has a Ph.D. in Islamic and Business Studies from the University of Wales and has been teaching Islamic Studies at leading universities for more than 30 years. Dr. Zaheer is known for his rational opinions on Islamic issues facing Muslims in the contemporary world. He has written a book and several articles on this subject. He is currently working on a translation of the Quran in Urdu. He has appeared on several international media platforms, representing Islam and sharing his insights with the wider world. Dr. Zaheer is currently based in Dubai, UAE, where he is taking online classes on Islamic and Quranic studies.
